Goodbye BNU

 Ni hao!

After our trip to the florist, I decided to pay a visit to the Beijing Normal University gift shop.

I had been looking for a BNU hoody after seeing one of the lads wearing one, but I couldn't find the one I wanted in the shop. However, I bought a beautiful BNU keyring and a BNU mug to drink Horlicks out of (I love Horlicks).

Afterwards I took some last photos of the gorgeous BNU campus where I had spent three happy and action-packed weeks.

No bugles please

Boxing Day at Laker's

 Ni hao!

I want to share with you some photos from my first excursion to Laker's, a bar on campus which I had often walked past but never been inside until Christmas Eve when I went there for dinner with Abi, Kasia, Sarah and April.

It is a lovely little place and the food and drink - I had a pizza and milkshake - was delicious. We had a really enjoyable evening.

Beijing beer

Beautiful tea set

Books on the window sill

I hope I've managed to capture some of the cosy atmosphere of the place; it's certainly somewhere I would like to visit again if I ever go back to Beijing.

Christmas Eve

 Ni hao!

I am going to share with you some photos I took on Christmas Eve. Today after our economics lecture in the tall building I decided to go to the very top floor and take photos of the sunset over Beijing. I found it very soothing and the views very beautiful.

I then took some photos around the BNU campus, which looked really magical in the early evening light. I hope you like them.

Firstly, this took me by surprise me whenever I went into Hollywood, a restaurant we liked. Is it Santa? Or a dragon? I'm not sure.

It is me!

Next, the views from our economics classroom:

It was certainly an unusual Christmas Eve, but one I found very enjoyable. It was a quiet, peaceful day in the middle of a busy trip.
