Jumping and shopping

 Ni hao!

After our Closing Ceremony, Marvi, Sarah, April and I went to record some footage of us talking in front of the main library building for a video Sarah was making. The afternoon sun was so beautiful.

I then wanted a photo of us all and Sarah said, "We have to do jumping photos!" So behold, a selection of the many jumping photos we took in front of the library on that lovely afternoon.

Sarah, April and I then went shopping - our very last trip to the Students' Supermarket. I'd become quite attached to that place - I'd been there so often for water and other supplies such as cereal, yoghurt and chocolate.

It was quite a nice shop, and it was always lovely to step in from the cold for a quick shop in the warmth.

Exotic crisps

Exotic oreos
(birthday cake flavour oreos are the best that I've tried in China; they're like normal oreos but with hundreds and thousands in the cream)

3+2: those that I tried were really nice; sweet and savoury in one biscuit!

The shop

As you can see they sell clothes too

These fruit kebabs are a very popular snack in Beijing; you see people selling them everywhere

Bike and phone box

After our visit to the Students' Supermarket, Sarah, April and decided to get some bubble waffles from a street seller; they were delicious and it was really interesting to see them being made in front of us.

Gangnam Style!

The lovely April and Sarah

Overall, with the Closing Ceremony and then spending time with friends, my final afternoon in China was very special.

Goodbye BNU

 Ni hao!

After our trip to the florist, I decided to pay a visit to the Beijing Normal University gift shop.

I had been looking for a BNU hoody after seeing one of the lads wearing one, but I couldn't find the one I wanted in the shop. However, I bought a beautiful BNU keyring and a BNU mug to drink Horlicks out of (I love Horlicks).

Afterwards I took some last photos of the gorgeous BNU campus where I had spent three happy and action-packed weeks.

No bugles please

The fish restaurant

 Ni hao!

On Thursday evening a large group of us went out for a meal at a fish restaurant. They served fish with a huge variety of different stuffings including noodles, chillies, mushrooms and more. I shared a fish with three friends and it was delicious.

Before I show you the pictures from the restaurant, I want to share some photos I took earlier on of the gorgeous sunny morning from our terrace.

Here are some pictures from the fish dinner.

Our starter, complete with simply enormous chillies!

Our fish!

It was a really lovely evening. Thank you to Abi for inviting me along ♥

The view from my window

Ni hao! I thought I would share some photos I took on the first Monday of the trip, of the view of Beijing Normal University from my hotel room window.

The red building with the writing has four floors worth of student canteens, with stairs between some floors and really cool escalators between others.

Tall buildings. One of the University buildings, where we had our economics lectures, has 23 floors!

Looking out at different times of day and night, I got all sorts of beautiful views. Beijing Normal University is a very photogenic place.

I hope you enjoyed the photos,
